Travel Tips
Everything you need to know before your JB trip.
Drive via Woodlands Checkpoint (CIQ) or take the bus. Causeway takes 5–15 mins off-peak. Walk across or take the shuttle for quick trips.
Avoid Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons. Best times: early mornings (6–8am) or weekday afternoons. Check MySejahtera & causeway traffic apps.
JB Town, Mount Austin, Bukit Indah, Johor Jaya and Danga Bay all have strong halal food clusters. Most are within 10–15 mins from CIQ.
Change SGD to MYR before crossing or at JB money changers (better rates in JB). Many outlets accept GrabPay, Touch 'n Go and credit cards.
Surau available at most major malls: AEON, KSL, Paradigm Mall, Mid Valley Southkey. Most Muslim-friendly stays include prayer mats and Qibla direction.
The Singapore–Johor Bahru Rapid Transit System (RTS Link) will connect Woodlands to Bukit Chagar JB, making cross-border travel even faster.
List your halal business on HalalCove and connect with Singapore travellers planning their next JB trip.
